The Precious Moments Chapel has been a source of inspiration, beauty and pleasure for millions of visitors since opening in June 1989. Each year more than a quarter of a million visitors are attracted to this artistic masterpiece created by Precious Moments artist Samuel J. Butcher.

Although the artist frequently adds to the artwork, the Chapel is, today, an artistic masterpiece. The main sanctuary contains 52 biblical murals that cover more than 5,000 square feet. The largest single mural is the Chapel ceiling, 30 feet overhead, and covering 1,408 square feet.

As the popularity of the Chapel has grown, so has the complex surrounding it. Behind the Chapel, guests can view Mr. Webb's Garden, Grandpa's Island (a castle playhouse for Butcher's grandchildren), a model of the Resurrection Scene and beautifully landscaped grounds. Peace and serenity encompass all as they encounter the Chapel and its surroundings.

There is also the "Fountain of Angels," one of the world's largest show fountains with 252 bronze figures, and "Wedding Island" with a quaint church and honeymoon mansion for the perfect storybook wedding.
